No visit to the Stonington area would be complete without walking the quaint beautiful streets of this seaside village. Site of an important naval battle in the War of 1812, the village survived a shelling by the British Navy.
Today there are many nice restaurants and shops to entice the out-of-town visitor. A visit to the Lighthouse Museum is rewarding. One of our Thomas Stanton Society members donated an antique musket for display there.
